Elevator Safety Review Board - Sunset Extension, Program Evaluation, and Reporting Requirement [HB-117]
Continuing the Elevator Safety Review Board in accordance with the provisions of the Maryland Program Evaluation Act (sunset law) by extending to July 1, 2029, the termination provisions relating to the statutory and regulatory authority of the Board; requiring that an evaluation of the Board and the statutes and regulations that govern the Board be performed on or before a specified date; requiring the Board to study, make recommendations, and report its findings on specified matters on or before October 1, 2018; etc.

Lean Government Advisory Board - Establishment [HB-77]
Establishing the Lean Government Advisory Board; providing for the composition, chair, and staffing of the Board; requiring the Board to meet at least quarterly and to apply lean principles to analyze the operations and organization of State government, identify specified inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to increase State government efficiency and improve the delivery of State government services; requiring the Board, beginning December 1, 2018, to annually report its recommendations to the General Assembly; etc.

Altering specified provisions of law relating to the required ranks of correctional officer members of a hearing board under the Correctional Officers' Bill of Rights; altering a specified provision of law to require that correctional officers assigned to serve on a hearing board be selected from a list of correctional officers eligible to serve on disciplinary hearing boards established by the Secretary of the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, or the Secretary's designee; etc.
