Requires the Department of Criminal Justice Services to develop compulsory training standards for law-enforcement officers regarding mental health awareness. The purpose of this bill is to modernize the practice act for physician assistants. It substitutes “collaborating” for “supervising” and makes a number of conforming amendments. It alters the make-up of the Board of Medicine to include a second physician assistant. It allows physician assistants to prescribe Schedule III drugs in certain circumstances.
