Relating to driver education programs [HB-4373]
The purpose of this bill is to help improve the offering of driver education courses to secondary school students by providing options for permitted instructors, allowing courses outside of the regular school schedule. Creating the student data accessability, transparency and accountability act [HB-4316]
The purpose of this bill is to create a Student Data Accessibility, Transparency and Accountability Act. The Act requires the Department of Education to make publicly available an inventory and index of all data elements with definitions of individual student data fields currently in the statewide longitudinal data system. The Department of Education also would be required to create a data security plan, ensuring compliance with federal and state data privacy laws and policies.
