Repealing a certain exception that allowed an insurer to cancel or refuse to renew coverage for homeowner's insurance based on weather-related claims if there were three or more weather-related claims within the preceding 3-year period; and requiring that a certain written notice of intention to cancel or not renew a homeowner's insurance policy include a form adopted by the Maryland Insurance Commissioner that allows the insured to protest the proposed action and request a hearing 30 days after the mailing date of the notice.
