Relating to the investigation and prosecution of cases involving child abuse and neglect [HB-3102]
The purpose of this bill is to aid in the investigation and prosecution of cases involving child abuse and neglect. In any case where a multidisciplinary investigative team suspects a uncooperative parent, guardian, or custodian of child abuse, the Department of Health and Human Resources would be authorized to take temporary protective custody of the child in order to safely conduct a team interview with the child at a child advocacy center.

Relating to making false reports of child abuse, sexual abuse and domestic violence [HB-3065]
The purpose of this bill is to establish a crime for falsely reporting child abuse or neglect, sexual abuse or domestic violence. The bill provides a criminal offense for making false reports while requiring community service, monetary fines and mandatory parenting class for persons convicted of violations. It additionally provides for civil liability for making false reports.
