This bill is about changing the reporting requirements for the Department of State Police regarding violations of regulated firearms. The new section requires the Department of State Police to report to the Governor and the General Assembly on the number of charges, convictions, and sentences for violations of certain firearm laws.

The information included in the report must be broken down by jurisdiction, race, and gender. This bill will take effect on June 1, 2024.
