Moving Americans Privacy Protection Act [HB-4403]
Moving Americans Privacy Protection Act This bill amends the Tariff Act of 1930 to revise requirements regarding the public disclosure of personally identifiable information contained in the manifest of vessels or aircraft entering any U.S. port or place to direct the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to ensure that any such information, including social security numbers, passport numbers, and residential addresses, are removed from any manifest signed and transmitted to the CBP before it is disclosed to the public.

To amend title 38, United States Code, to ensure that children of homeless veterans are included in the calculation of the amounts of certain per diem grants. This bill provides that the Department of Veterans Affairs per diem payment calculation for an entity receiving homeless veterans shelter grants for a homeless veteran who has care of a minor dependent while receiving services from such entity shall be the sum of the daily cost of care for the veteran plus, for each minor dependent, an amount that equals 50% of the veteran's daily cost of

Bill Summary:
This bill, introduced by Mr. Coffman and Ms. Brownley, aims to amend the Title 38 of the United States Code to ensure that children of homeless veterans are taken into consideration when calculating certain per diem grants.
Proposed Modification:
Section 2012(a)(2)(B) of title 38, United States Code, will be amended to include a clause that accounts for the daily cost of care for minor dependents of homeless veterans receiving services from grant recipients or eligible entities.
The daily cost of care for each minor dependent will be calculated as 50 percent of the total daily cost of care determined under the previous subparagraph.
