HB-2515: In small business first, further providing for definitions and for fund and accounts.
House Bill No. 2515
This bill aims to amend the definitions related to small businesses in Title 12 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes. Specifically, it expands the definition of a small business to include not-for-profit enterprises that employ more than five but less than 101 individuals during the COVID-19 disaster emergency. This change allows for these enterprises to have access to certain benefits and assistance during this emergency.
The bill also authorizes the waiver or adjustment of loan requirements and terms for small businesses in the specified geographic area affected by the disaster. It transfers $100,000,000 from the Budget Stabilization Reserve Fund to the authority for implementing this program.
This act will come into effect immediately once passed.
