Proposed Bill No. 5581: AN ACT CONCERNING ITINERANT FOOD VENDING ESTABLISHMENTS
This proposed bill aims to require the Department of Public Health and each director of health to establish a process by December 31, 2021, that allows for reciprocal licensing of itinerant food vending establishments. This means that if a food truck or similar establishment has a valid permit or license in one town, city, or borough, they can use that permit or license to operate in another location. The purpose of this bill is to support small businesses, particularly food trucks, by making it easier for them to expand their operations into different areas without the need for additional permits or licenses.
