Alzheimer’s Accountability and Investment Act [HB-620]
To require an annual budget estimate for the initiatives of the National Institutes of Health pursuant to reports and recommendations made under the National Alzheimer's Project Act.
HB-620: Alzheimer’s Accountability and Investment Act
This bill, called the Alzheimer's Accountability and Investment Act, requires the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to create an annual budget estimate for their initiatives related to Alzheimer's disease. The budget estimate will be based on reports and recommendations made under the National Alzheimer's Project Act. The Director of the NIH will prepare and submit this budget estimate to the President for review and then to Congress. The budget estimate will include information on the number and type of personnel needed for the NIH's initiatives related to Alzheimer's. This bill has been referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce for further review.
