Native American Languages Grant Program
Section 803C of the Native American Programs Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 2991b-3) is amended as follows:
- In subsection (b)(7), the funding percentages are modified, with subparagraph (A)(i) changing from '10' to '5', and subparagraph (B)(i) changing from '15' to '10'.
- In subsection (e)(2), the time frame for grants is expanded to be on a 3-year, 4-year, or 5-year basis.
Reauthorization of Native American Languages Program
Section 816(e) of the Native American Programs Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 2992d(e)) is amended to allocate $13,000,000 for each fiscal year from 2020 through 2024.
There is also a technical correction in Section 816, where the reference to 'subsection (e)' in subsections (a) and (b) is replaced with 'subsection (d)'.
