This Act requires public schools to begin their school year after Labor Day. There have been many economic impact reports done that show a positive impact from starting public schools after Labor Day. A report by the Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association estimates that $369 million would be lost if schools were not required to start after Labor Day. An Act To Amend Title 19 Of The Delaware Code Relatng To Workers' Compensation Benefits. [SB-202]
This Act ensures that the spouses of those killed in the line of duty are able to receive benefits for the remainder of their lives regardless of future marital status. When a surviving spouse remarries, the surviving spouse's benefit is reduced to 90% of the original benefit for the first 10 years after the remarrying and must be reduced to 75% of the original benefit thereafter until the death of the surviving spouse. Spouses of fallen first responders should not be forced to make decisions to carry on with their lives based on financial considerations.

An Act To Amend Title 24 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Unborn Children. [SB-205]
The Act protects the life of the unborn child at a time when the potential for the child to survive outside the womb increases, especially with the advancement of medical procedures. Also, there is substantial medical evidence that an unborn child is capable of experiencing pain by 20 weeks after fertilization. The Delaware Legislature has the constitutional authority to make this judgment as shown in U.S. Supreme Court decisions as detailed in this Act.
