An Act To Amend Title 11 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Firearms. [HB-322]
In 1994 the 137th General Assembly created the crime of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. In the intervening decades, the length of the minimum required sentence of 3 years and 5 years for defendants with 2 prior felonies has not changed. Instead, in 2019 the 150th General Assembly removed the requirement of consecutive sentences and removed the prohibition on suspending portions of the sentence and earned good time. An Act To Amend Title 29 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Federal Coronavirus Relief Fund Of 2020 (cares Act 2020) [HB-358]
Delaware received significant funding from the federal government under the CARES Act to address economic harm caused by the Covid-19 public health emergency. This Act recognizes the undue economic harm small businesses faced during the State of Emergency closures in Delaware and specifically instructs that 100,000,000.00 of the CARES Act money be directed to small business through an application process overseen by the Secretary of State and the Delaware Economic Development Authority.

An Act To Amend Title 21 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Vehicle Equipment. [HB-114]
As promoted in the Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles Motorcycle Operator Manual, it is recommended to motorcycle, Mopeds, and Motorized Scooter operators that they temporarily flash brake lights when stopping in order to increase visibility to other motorists. There are aftermarket products available that will automatically flash the brake lights up to five times, however these products are currently prohibited in the Delaware Code under the prohibition on flashing lights. An Act To Amend Title 29 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Disclosure Of Information By The Department Of Natural Resources And Environmental Control. [HB-121]
DNREC often implements policies and strategies based upon directives issued by the Federal Government, including those from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This Bill will require that any directive received by DNREC be automatically disclosed on the DNREC website without the necessity for a Freedom of Information Request.
