This bill increases the minimum amount of property damage that triggers the mandatory reporting of a vehicular collision to police from $500 to $2,000. This bill also increases the minimum amount of property damage requiring police agencies to investigate from $1,000 to $2,000. This increase makes Delaware more consistent with other states and reflects the Legislatures intention in 1997 to increase the amount annually by $100.

Stands operated by children that serve or sell lemonade or other nonalcoholic beverages on a temporary, occasional basis are a summertime tradition for many children. This Act exempts a stand operated by a child from State, county, and municipal regulations and licensing fees that might otherwise apply.

In 2009, New Hampshire was the first state to develop a statewide Gun Shop Project, reaching out to gun shops regarding the role they can play in suicide prevention. In the years since, at least 21 other states have implemented similar campaigns. This Act establishes the Delaware Gun Shop Project (Project), under which the Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (Division) must develop relevant materials that may be posted conspicuously and available for distribution at Delaware gun shops.
