An Act To Amend Title 6 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Consumer Legal Finance Transactions. [HB-422]
This Act adopts the “Delaware Consumer Legal Finance Regulatory Act” to ensure protections for individuals who enter into consumer legal finance contracts. A consumer legal finance transaction is one in which person assigns a contingent right to receive an amount of the potential proceeds of their legal claim to Consumer Legal Finance Company in exchange for money. This Act requires that all contracts for consumer legal finance: (1) contain standard provisions notifying the consumers of their rights under the contract and of all fees and interest

An Act To Amend Title 4 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Brewery-pubs And Microbreweries. [HB-447]
This Bill would permit the sale of beer made on the premises to consumers for consumption on the premises similar to that currently permitted under Delaware law for Farm Wineries. This will encourage tourism at the Microbreweries licensed in this State. Delaware law has permitted an individual to have an interest in up to two (2) Brewery-Pubs and a Microbrewery, but a strict reading of 546 would mean that the individual could only sell for consumption off of the premises at two of the three licensed premises. At the present time, the three counties operate three separate offices that handle the functions of the Recorder of Deeds.
