An Act To Amend Title 12 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Abandoned Or Unclaimed Property. [HB-2]
This bill creates additional incentives for holders of abandoned property to report such property to the state and promptly resolve such claims. The bill expands the new voluntary self-disclosure program administered by the Secretary of State and enacted by the 146th General Assembly to further incentivize participation in the program. Section 1 clarifies the existing duty of the State Escheator to protect confidential information by confirming that the existing duty covers the entirety of Chapter 11. An Act To Amend Title 21 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Inspection Of Certain Motor Vehicles. [HB-204]
This Act allows reconstructed vehicles that are more than 25 years old to be exempt from emissions testing. Biennial safety and anti-tampering inspections would still be required. These reconstructed vehicles are typically show cars that are only used for club activities, parades, and exhibits similar to antique vehicles. Antique vehicles are currently exempt from emissions and safety inspection.

An Act To Amend Title 19 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Volunteer Emergency Responders Job Protection Act. [HB-21]
This bill establishes the Volunteer Emergency Responders Job Protection Act. The Act prohibits an employer from terminating or taking any other disciplinary action against an employee who is a volunteer emergency responder if such employee, when acting as a voluntary emergency responder, is absent from his or her place of employment for a Governor-declared State of Emergency lasting up to 7 days or a President-declared National Emergency lasting up to 14 days. An Act To Amend Title 16 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Prescriptions. [HB-218]
This Bill requires written authorization from a patient for any person to pick up a prescription on a patient’s behalf. Currently, a pharmacy is only required to obtain and keep on file valid photographic identification for the person picking up the prescription; there is no requirement that a pharmacy obtain written authorization from the patient before releasing a prescription to another person on the patient’s behalf.
