An Act To Amend Title 14 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Charter Schools. [SB-209]
This bill requires the Department of Education to promulgate regulations to further define the meaning and process for consideration of impact in the charter school application review process, to be considered and approved by the State Board no later than its October 2014 meeting. It also clarifies the conditions that an authorizer may place on an approved application, and provides that the State Board of Education may place or modify conditions to address considerations of impact.

An Act To Amend Title 12 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Apportionment Of Estate Tax Liability. [SB-26]
This legislation provides a default procedure for equitably allocating the cost of estate taxes among beneficiaries of an estate. It replaces Delaware’s current apportionment statute, but retains its basic approach of apportioning estate taxes among beneficiaries in proportion to their respective legacies, unless a decedent directed a different allocation method in an appropriate estate planning document. An Act To Amend Title 24 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Home Inspectors. [SB-30]
This Bill amends Chapter 41 of Title 24 of the Delaware Code, which will go into effect on August 6, 2013. The grandfathering provision, Section 4108(d), is revised to require either not fewer than 250 home inspections in Delaware for compensation or five years of practice in the field of home inspection. This revision will ensure that applicants have significant, substantive work experience, without making licensure virtually impossible for many individuals currently practicing home inspection in Delaware.
