An Act To Amend Title 28 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Charitable Gaming. [SB-135]
This Bill implements recommendations made by the Joint Sunset Committee following its review of the Board of Charitable Gaming. The Bill: 1) Combines into one chapter the three chapters for bingo, charitable gaming, raffles and Texas Hold’em Poker which currently govern the Board of Charitable Gaming. An Act To Amend Title 16 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Invasive Medical Procedure Facilities. [SB-140]
Recently the Department of Health and Social Services promulgated rules for the regulation and accreditation of medical facilities that perform invasive medical procedures. This bill builds on that effort by allowing a complaint from an employee of the facility. Facilities must be accredited by independent agencies. Finally, the bill requires the Department to promulgate rules and regulation based on this statute within 6 months of enactment.

An Act To Amend Title 29 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Sustainable Energy Utility. [SB-150]
This bill is intended to implement the recommendations of the General Assembly’s Joint Sunset Committee following its review of the Sustainable Energy Utility. An Act To Amend Title 21 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Gross Vehicle Weight Of Live-haul Poultry Trucks. [SB-160]
The bill would increase the weight limit for live-haul poultry trucks operating on Delaware highways within 100 miles of the plant in order to accommodate the poultry industry and ensure public safety. In addition, the bill would provide for a weight variance of 3 percent to account for variations in bird weight. Live-haul poultry trucks are granted the increased weight limit and associated variance provided that these trucks are in compliance with several conditions aimed at ensuring public safety. An Act To Amend Title 11 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Possession And Purchase Of Deadly Weapons By Persons Prohibited. [SB-162]
This Bill expands the crime of possession and purchase of deadly weapons by persons prohibited to include perpetrators of violent crimes who have been found Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity, Guilty But Mentally Ill, or Mentally Incompetent to Stand Trial, including juveniles who fall into those categories.

An Act To Amend Title 11 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Endangering The Welfare Of A Child And Subsequent Mental Health Counseling Therefore. [SB-163]
Currently a person can commit the crime of endangering the welfare of a child by committing certain types of other crimes (often referred to as crimes of domestic violence) knowing that a child of the person’s or victim’s family has witnessed the crime(s). This Act would allow prosecution for endangering the welfare of a child if the person had reason to know that the child was witnessing the crime(s).
