An Act To Amend Title 29 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The State Lottery. [SB-205]
This Act promotes increased capital investment at Delaware casinos by restructuring the table games licensing fee reduction currently received by lottery agents to allow capital investments greater than the minimum amounts required under § 4815(b)(3)a. of Title 29 of the Delaware Code to count toward the allowable license fee reductions. For ease of administration, this Act also aligns time periods for both table games and video lottery calculations.

An Act To Amend Title 18 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Line Of Duty Death Benefits. [SB-202]
For claims for line of duty death benefits for covered persons, which include police officers, firefighters, auxiliary and volunteer ambulance and rescue company members, paramedics, and others, submitted on July 1, 2023, and thereafter, this Act increases the benefits for the beneficiary or beneficiaries from $200,000 to $375,000, payable in annual installments, with the maximum amount paid in any 1 calendar year being $50,000.

An Act To Amend Title 21 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Equipment And Construction Of Vehicles. [SB-206]
Senate Bill 89 from the first half of the 152nd General Assembly allowed for state owned-and-operated vehicles used for snow removal to operate with green revolving or flashing lights during winter weather operations. This Bill extends the same use of green lights on municipal owned-and-operated snow removal equipment and vehicles during winter weather operations. Studies have shown green lights are more visible to the traveling public during winter weather conditions. Directing The Division Of Motor Vehicles To Opt Into A Federal Exemption To Develop A "school Bus Only - Commercial Driver's License". [SJR-4]
This Joint Resolution directs the Division of Motor Vehicles to opt into the FMCSAs federal exemption that allows for first time CDL applicants seeking a school bus only endorsement on their drivers license. An applicants school bus only endorsement would only apply to intrastate operation of a school bus. The Division of Motor Vehicles is directed to implement this policy by May 1, 2024.
