Delaware is the only state on the East Coast of the United States that does not have a shellfish aquaculture industry. Shellfish aquaculture can provide significant economic benefits to coastal communities while improving the water quality and enhancing the habitat value of Delaware’s most imperiled estuaries, the Inland Bays. This bill is designed to minimize conflicts with existing uses of the Inland Bays. This Act requires all commercial vehicles, except farm vehicles, registered with a gross vehicle weight of 26000 lbs. or over in the State of Delaware to be equipped with an audible reverse warning signal, backup camera or other warning device that adequately places an individual within 50 feet of such vehicle on notice that such commercial vehicle intends to and/or is in the process of reversing.

An Act To Amend Title 12 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Abandoned Or Unclaimed Property. [HB-2]
This bill creates additional incentives for holders of abandoned property to report such property to the state and promptly resolve such claims. The bill expands the new voluntary self-disclosure program administered by the Secretary of State and enacted by the 146th General Assembly to further incentivize participation in the program.
