This bill prohibits a former member of the General Assembly from acting as a lobbyist for a period of one year after such person’s term of office ends. Any person who knowingly violates this section shall be guilty of an unclassified misdemeanor. This bill shall take effect January 1, 2015.

An Act To Amend Title 21 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Rules Of The Road. [HB-133]
This bill would allow drivers of a vehicle to make a left turn across a paved dividing space unless prohibited by an official traffic-control device. This language is consistent with the National Uniform Vehicle Code permitting the crossing of flushed or painted paved medians. This will allow drivers to traverse the median to gain access to driveways across from the other lane.

An Act To Amend Title 29 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Retirement Plans. [HB-148]
This bill would direct the Office of the State Treasurer to add a Roth option to state sponsored 403(b) and 457(b) savings plans that are offered to eligible teachers and state employees. This bill would not require the state to contribute any additional funds into the retirement plans. The Roth option has been proven to be a more tax-friendly way to save for most individual investors than the traditional, non-Roth, tax-deferred method of saving that is currently offered in state sponsored retirement plans. This bill involves the proceeds from the sale of property seized due to violations of Title 4, Chapter 11, such as illegally transported liquor. The bill raises the limit of proceeds which the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement can retain in a special enforcement fund in a single fiscal year from $5,000 to $15,000.
