An Act To Amend Title 31 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Background Checks For Child-serving Entities. [HB-266]
This bill addresses an on-going problem relating to background checks for employees, volunteers, and contractors of child-serving entities. Currently, a person working a child-serving entity who obtains the required background check must undergo another background check when that person obtains employment at another child-serving entity even if that background check had recently been completed. An Act To Amend Title 14 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Optional Mid-year Unit Count. [HB-238]
This Act permits a school district to conduct on the last day of January an optional unit count of pupils who enrolled after the actual unit count was conducted and certified by the Department of Education. A school district will qualify for one-half of the value of the Division I and Division II state financial support for each additional unit under the optional unit count.

An Act To Amend Title 6 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Marinas And Fuels. [HB-244]
This bill will allow marinas in Sussex County to sell gasoline that does not contain ethanol. Sussex County comfortably meets the National Ambient Air Quality Standard for ground level ozone, and removing ethanol from marine fuel will have no significant impact on ambient ozone levels.

An Act To Amend Title 14 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Red Clay Consolidated School District Bus Safety Camera Pilot Program. [HB-202]
This bill creates a pilot program for the Red Clay School District to utilize external camera systems on their school buses to catch motorists that illegally pass school buses and to punish these motorists by issuing them a civil penalty. The purpose of this bill is to protect children as they are in the process of boarding and exiting the school bus and to spread awareness of school bus traffic safety. An Act To Amend Title 30 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Taxes On Personal Income. [HB-80]
Section 1 of this Act modifies Delawares Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) to allow recipients to choose the most beneficial credit to be applied against their Delaware Personal Income Taxes. Under this Act, recipients can choose between a non-refundable credit of up to 20% of the value of the corresponding federal EITC or a refundable EITC credit of up to 4.5% of the value of the corresponding federal EITC.
