This Bill exempts farm vehicles and trucks traveling to and from a farm, while performing farm operations, from temporary seizure requiring the vehicle to be driven to scales and being subject to forced load discharge at the direction of a police officer.

An Act To Amend Title 14 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Indian River School Board. [HB-198]

An Act To Amend Title 15 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Elections And Identification. [HB-200]
This bill is a companion bill to a constitutional amendment to allow the General Assembly to determine photographic and signature identification requirements to vote. This bill is modeled after Florida’s law. Thirteen states currently have approved such identification requirements (Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin).

An Act To Amend Title 21 Relating To Rules Of The Road. [HB-202]
This Bill makes it an offense to use a handicapped plate or placard issued to another person, unless that person is also in the vehicle. The Bill aims to curb the use of handicapped parking spaces by persons who do not actually need them. Under the Code, a person who violates this provision will “receive a mandatory fine of $100 for a first offense, and for a subsequent like offense, a mandatory fine of $200 or a term of imprisonment of not less than 10 nor more than 30 days, or both.”
