An Act To Amend Title 16 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Medical Care Of Police Dogs Injured In The Line Of Duty. [SB-117]
This Act authorizes paramedics and other EMS providers to provide medical care to police dogs injured at the scene of an emergency. This Act also grants civil immunity to paramedics and other EMS providers who provide medical services to police dogs, so long as their efforts to assist the police dog were in good faith. An Act To Amend Title 14 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Teacher Apprenticeships. [HB-138]
This Act establishes a Delaware Educator Apprenticeship Program to be developed by the Department of Education. The Department of Education will work with the Department of Labor to create a program that places aspiring teachers in paid positions in schools, while the teacher candidates complete the training and schooling necessary to become a Delaware credentialed teacher. An Act To Amend Title 11 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Theft. [SB-104]
This Act creates a separate offense for theft of a catalytic converter. A first offense of catalytic converter theft is a class A misdemeanor unless the value of the stolen property is $1,500 or more, in which case it is a class G felony. A second offense of theft of a catalytic converter within the previous 5 years is a class G felony, regardless of the value of the stolen property.
