An Act To Amend Title 16 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Department Of Health And Social Services. [HB-6]
This Bill requires the Secretary of the Department of Health and Social Services to implement a mandatory dress code for all Department employees working at the Delaware Psychiatric Center (DPC) within one year of the date of enactment of this Bill, subject to funding by the Legislature. The intent of this Bill is to help delineate employees of the DPC from patients thereof with the purpose of increasing visibility of such employees.

An Act To Amend Title 14 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Limiting Artificial Trans Fats In Food Available Or Served To Students In Public Schools, Including Charter Schools. [HB-60]
This Bill prohibits public schools, including charter schools, and school districts from making available or serving food with more than 0.5 gram of artificial trans fatty acids to students in grades K through 12.

An Act To Amend Title 7 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Protected Wildlife. [HB-67]
This act increases the penalties for illegally hunting wild turkeys. Delaware began its Wild Turkey Restoration project in 1984 with the release of 34 trapped birds from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Vermont. To enhance genetic diversity and speed up the stocking of birds in all available habit, additional wild turkeys were acquired from other states, at a cost of approximately $500.00 per bird. Although the cost to purchase and import wild turkeys is very expensive, the penalties levied on individuals who illegally hunt these birds are minimal. (continued...)

An Act To Amend Chapter 10, Title 16 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Policies Of Hospitals And Other Facilities. [HB-75]
This Bill allows each competent adult patient to receive visits in a Hospital, nursing home or nursing facility from any individual from whom the patient desires to receive visits, subject to certain restrictions set forth in a visitation policy related to the patient’s medical condition, the number of visitors simultaneously permitted in a patient’s room, and visitation hours and/or order of a Court. An Act To Amend Title 30 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Personal Income Tax. [HB-97]
This Bill excludes from income taxes pensions received from the United States, including military retirement income, up to a maximum of $37,500.00 less any Social Security benefits paid by the United States in the taxable year. It is intended to equalize the treatment of Federal retirees who are not covered or are partially covered by the Social Security System with those retirees receiving Social Security benefits which are presently exempt from tax.
