This House Concurrent Resolution creates a Task Force for Expanding Educational Options for Children With Disabilities. The Task Force will obtain input from stakeholders regarding services for children with disabilities between the ages of three and five and recommend methods to provide parents with special educational options beyond those offered by their local school districts. Currently these children are eligible for state and federal assistance for early learning and special needs, but are not old enough yet to participate in school choice

Establishing A Workers' Compensation Task Force. [HJR-3]
This joint resolution establishes a task force to study the workers’ compensation system. In the past two years, approved premium rates in the voluntary market for workers’ compensation insurance have increased almost 26%. This rate of growth threatens economic growth in this State, particularly for small businesses and those in the construction industry. The Task Force will be responsible for reviewing the recent increases and proposing findings and recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly on or before May 14, 2013.
