This act is based on the Model Employment Termination Act promulgated by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws in 1991. The basic philosophy of this act is one of compromise and balancing the competing interests of employers and employees. Thus, although covered employees are granted an expanded substantive right to “good cause” protections against termination, available remedies are limited to reinstatement, with or without backpay, and severance pay when reinstatement is unfeasible. An Act To Amend Title 7 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Shellfish. [HB-94]
This bill provides that no new oyster harvesting licenses may be issued. The bill provides for a method to transfer current existing oyster harvesting licenses. The bill also provides that an oyster harvesting license expires on an annual basis. If a person does not renew an oyster harvesting license within one year of expiration of the license such person loses all rights to such license.

An Act To Amend Title 21 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Motorcycles. [HB-95]
This bill eliminates the requirement that a person must have a safety helmet in their possession while operating or riding on a motorcycle. This bill does not change the requirement in Title 21 of the Delaware Code that a person up to 19 years of age must wear a safety helmet while operating or riding on a motorcycle.
