This bill is the result of recommendations made by the Joint Sunset Committee. The purpose of this bill is to enable candidates for licensure as dentists and dental hygienists to sit for the practical examination required by the Board prior to graduation provided they provide a letter of good standing indicating they will be graduating within 60 days of the examination.

The bill requires local school boards to conduct a face-to-face meeting with the charter school applicant to review and discuss the application. This Act authorizes the addition of two video lottery agents, one in Sussex County and one in New Castle County, through an application process conducted by a Lottery Redevelopment Committee. This bill addresses the issues of weapons, specifically firearms, that have been relinquished by owners who are persons prohibited under 1448, Title 11 of the Delaware Code and by owners of firearms who have had a PFA Order issued against them. Currently, thousands of relinquished weapons are stored in evidence lockers of law enforcement agencies throughout the State.
