In Chiafalo v. Washington, 140 S.Ct. 2316 (2020), the United States Supreme Court made clear that states have the authority to remove or punish presidential electors who do not adhere to their obligation to vote faithfully for their parties candidates.

An Act To Amend Title 16 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Use Of Single-service Plastic Implements And Polystyrene Containers In Food Establishments. [SB-51]
This Act prohibits food establishments from providing consumers with ready-to-eat food or beverages in polystyrene foam containers or with single-service plastic coffee stirrers, cocktail picks, or sandwich picks. It also prohibits food establishments from providing single-service plastic straws, unless requested by a consumer. These restrictions take effect on July 1, 2025.

An Act To Amend Title 11 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Death Penalty. [HB-70]
This Act eliminates the death penalty in Delaware. As such, the penalty for a person who is convicted of first-degree murder for an offense that was committed after the persons 18th birthday is imprisonment for the remainder of the persons natural life without benefit of probation or parole or any other reduction.

An Act To Amend Title 14 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Developmental Screening. [HB-45]
This Act amends Chapter 30A of Title 14 to clarify that screening will not be conducted if a parent declines developmental screening or notifies the licensee that the child is already receiving early intervention services or special education and related services. It further clarifies that the child care provider will conduct the screening where the parent or guardian fails to do so only upon receipt of parental consent.

An Act Proposing An Amendment To Article Iv Of The Delaware Constitution Relating To The Judiciary. [HB-237]
This Act is the first leg of a constitutional amendment to increase the number of Justices of the Supreme Court to 7 and to require that of the 7 Justices appointed to the Supreme Court, at least 2 must be residents of Kent County, at least 2 must be residents of Sussex County, and at least 2 must be residents of New Castle County. An Act Proposing An Amendment To Article Iv Of The Delaware Constitition Relating To The Family Court. [HB-213]
This Act is the first leg of a constitutional amendment that provides for the Family Court to consist of 19 Judges including the Chief Judge, 10 who must be residents of New Castle County, 4 who must be residents of Kent County and 4 who must be residents of Sussex County at the time they apply for nomination by the Governor. This Act would increase the current Family Court bench by 2 Judges, 1 additional Judge from Kent County and 1 additional Judge from Sussex County.
