An Act To Amend Title 18 Of The Delaware Code Creating The "life Insurance Fraud Protection Act." [SB-71]
This bill only applies to life insurance carriers who meet certain criteria suggesting a history of issuing fraudulent policies or other financial misconduct. When a covered insurance carrier cancels a life insurance policy for lack of insurable interest they are required to return any premiums paid on the policy to the owner of the life insurance policy so long as the owner did not engage in any wrongdoing related to the issuance of the insurance contract. An Act To Amend Title 14 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Educational Data Governance. [SB-79]
This bill amends Section 4111 of Title 14 of the Delaware Code to establish policies and procedures that enable school districts, schools, teachers, and school staff to collect and use student data for appropriate educational purposes while ensuring that the student data is kept safe and the privacy of students and their parents and guardians is protected. An Act To Amend Title 29 Relating To The Merit System And The Prison Educational Unit. [SB-82]
Senate Bill 20 of the 147th General Assembly (79 Del. Laws c. 251) formally established the Prison Education program in Chapter 24 of Title 14 of the Delaware Code. Employees of the Prison Education program whose primary job location is within an institution have been eligible to receive hazardous duty pay for several years, this legislation simply updates Title 29 to reflect the authorization already existing in Chapter 24 of Title 14 and in the Budget Act.

Supporting A Goal Of A 100% Issuance Rate Of Survivor Care Plans To Cancer Survivors. [SCR-25]
This concurrent resolution is designed to direct the Insurance Commissioner of Delaware and the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services to work with insurance companies and the medical community in order to issue Survivorship Care Plans to 100% of Delaware’s cancer survivors. Survivorship Care Plans are a key tool in treating cancer as a long-term, chronic disease. They assist those who have been diagnosed with cancer manage their long-term care by making their personal medical histories and treatment plans more transparent and portable.
