This Bill implements recommendations made by the Joint Sunset Committee following its review of the Board of Charitable Gaming. The Bill: 1) Combines into one chapter the three chapters for bingo, charitable gaming, raffles and Texas Hold’em Poker which currently govern the Board of Charitable Gaming. This bill is the result of recommendations made by the Joint Sunset Committee. The bill expands the powers of the Board of Massage and Bodywork to include adoption of rules pertaining to advertising and unprofessional conduct by licensees and the adoption of a Client Disclosure Form, to be used by certified massage technicians. An Act To Amend Title 24 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Dentistry And Dental Hygiene. [HB-358]
This bill is the result of recommendations made by the Joint Sunset Committee. The purpose of this bill is to enable candidates for licensure as dentists and dental hygienists to sit for the practical examination required by the Board prior to graduation provided they provide a letter of good standing indicating they will be graduating within 60 days of the examination.

An Act To Amend Title 21 Of The Delaware Code Related To Driver License. [HB-36]
This bill increases the Delaware driver license issuance period from 5 years to 8 years and learner permit issuance period from 60 days to 6 months. The division has seen a significant upward trend in customer volume in 2010 when compared to 2009. Specifically, the division’s customer volume has increased an average of 100 customers per day in our busiest facility and an average of 25 customers per day in our slowest facility. If this rate of growth continues, the DMV can expect to see between 6,200 and 25,000 additional customers in our facilities

Under current law, the City of Wilmington has no representative on the Red Clay, Brandywine, Colonial, Christina and New Castle Vocational-Technical school boards expressly advocating for the City of Wilmington’s educational objectives. This Act relates to police and fire pension funds created under Title 18 of the Delaware Code. The General Assembly created a special fund in the hopes of ensuring adequate pensions for affected police officers and firefighters, and their surviving spouses. This has not come to pass with regard to all pensions, however. By way of example only, the average surviving spouse in the Wilmington Police and Fire retirement plan receives a pension of only $10,080, which is $1,090 dollars below the 2012 poverty level.
