This bill allows, but does not require, the Domestic Violence Fatal Incident Review Team (FIRT) to review near deaths resulting from domestic violence. This bill does not otherwise modify the existing procedures for FIRT reviews and investigations of deaths resulting from domestic violence.

An Act To Amend Title 10 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Abolishing Jury Commissioners. [HB-151]
Jury commissioners were previously used to insure that a random and fair cross section of the community was called for jury service by manually reviewing the jury pool. Today, jury selection is a computerized process handled by a professional staff in the Superior Court and jury commissioners no longer perform this task. The duties of jury commissioners have been reduced to functions that can easily be performed by staff. Jury commissioners are presently paid $2500 per year and the elimination of these six positions will save the State $15,000 per

An Act To Amend Title 13 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Marriage. [HB-154]
This Bill increases from four (4) to fifteen (15) days the time by which a person officiating a marriage ceremony must return the marriage certificate to the issuing Clerk of the Peace for recording. The Act also increases the penalty on those fail to comply from $25 to $50 and authorizes the issuing Clerk of the Peace to temporarily suspend a person’s authorization to solemnize marriages until any delinquent penalties are paid in full.

An Act To Amend Title 21 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Drivers' Licenses And Identification Cards. [HB-160]
The Division of Motor Vehicles has seen a large increase in individuals producing fraudulent Delaware drivers’ licenses, identification cards and documents. These fraudulent drivers’ licenses and identification cards can be used to assume another individual’s identity. This bill updates the current law and makes it illegal for applicant to present fraudulent documents.
