Based on national reports documenting misuse of seclusion and restraint within public schools, many states are adopting remedial statutory or regulatory standards. In 2012, the U.S. Department of Education issued authoritative guidance encouraging states to adopt written standards deterring use of seclusion and restraint in public schools. An Act To Amend Title 24 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Board Of Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation And Air Conditioning Examiners. [SB-106]
The Bill adds to the Board’s authority to require all persons licensed in plumbing and HVACR services to display the words “Licensed Plumber” and/or “Licensed HVACR” on their vehicles along with their license number in order to protect the public by enabling customers to easily distinguish between licensed and unlicensed practitioners. This requirement will become effective one year after the enactment date.

This Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act (also to be known as Grace Firestone’s Law) provides for dissemination of educational materials about, and mandating standards for, protecting those exhibiting signs of possible sudden cardiac arrest.
