An Act Proposing An Amendment To Article Iv, Section 29 Of The Delaware Constitution Of 1897, As Amended, Relating To Justices Of The Peace. [SB-37]
Article IV, Section 29 currently provides that, after completing an initial four-year term successfully enough to warrant reappointment and confirmation, succeeding terms would then be for six years. This Amendment would provide that Justices of the Peace who have completed three terms of office successfully enough to warrant reappointment and confirmation for succeeding terms would thereafter serve terms of eight years, thereby retaining Justices of the Peace who are deemed most experienced by virtue of their years of service and increasing professionalism (continued...)

An Act To Amend Title 11 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Sale, Purchase, Delivery And Transfer Of Firearms At Firearms Shows. [SB-39]
This bill would close the “gun show loophole” by requiring firearms vendors to have a licensed firearms dealer perform a background check prior to the sale, delivery or transfer of any firearm at a firearms show. For first offenses, firearms show vendors and licensed dealers who willfully and intentionally violate the law will be guilty of a class A misdemeanor. Additional offenses are a class G felony. An Act To Amend Title 29 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Members Of The General Assembly And Statewide Elected Officials. [SB-4]
This Act requires members of the General Assembly and statewide elected officials to disclose all separate income and the hours worked in separate employment during days when they perform official duties. It also requires documentation of any reduction in compensation for the official’s separate employment, or a declaration that their compensation has not been reduced.

An Act To Amend Title 7 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Floodplain And Drainage Standards, Wetlands And Subaqueous Lands. [SB-64]
This legislation authorizes the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control to adopt guidance and minimum standards to minimize risk from flooding with the input from a stakeholder advisory group. Such standards or equivalent standards shall subsequently be adopted by local governments to the extent that existing requirements do not meet the minimum standards established under this legislation. An Act To Amend Title 29 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Parks And Recreation Council. [SB-96]
This bill updates the code to define eligible members of the Parks and Recreation Council appointed by the Governor. When the Parks and Recreation Council was created, the former Recreation Advisory Council was eliminated; this legislation would eliminate extraneous references to that defunct council. Further, the Bi-State Advisory Council for the White Clay Creek Preserve expired on December 31, 2010 by mutual agreement of Delaware and Pennsylvania.
