This Act eliminates the financial bar to voter registration and makes technical changes to bring the chapter into conformity with 2, article V of the Constitution of this State, which no longer requires a 5 year waiting period before a person convicted of a non-disqualifying felony may register to vote. This Act also makes technical corrections to conform existing law to the guidelines of the Delaware Legislative Drafting Manual.

This bill makes the following changes to Delaware Statutory Trust Act (the “Act”) to keep it current and to maintain its national preeminence. This bill implements portions of the federal requirements in the bipartisan Preventing Sex Trafficking and Strengthening Families Act (P.L. 113-183/HR 4890), signed into law in 2014 and effective September 29, 2015.
