An Act To Amend Title 15 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Elections. [SB-242]
This Act eliminates the financial bar to voter registration and makes technical changes to bring the chapter into conformity with 2, article V of the Constitution of this State, which no longer requires a 5 year waiting period before a person convicted of a non-disqualifying felony may register to vote. This Act also makes technical corrections to conform existing law to the guidelines of the Delaware Legislative Drafting Manual.

This bill makes the following changes to Delaware Statutory Trust Act (the “Act”) to keep it current and to maintain its national preeminence. An Act To Amend Title 13 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Children In Dscyf Custody. [SB-247]
This bill implements portions of the federal requirements in the bipartisan Preventing Sex Trafficking and Strengthening Families Act (P.L. 113-183/HR 4890), signed into law in 2014 and effective September 29, 2015. This bill first implements Section 111 of the federal law which aims to support normalcy for children in foster care by requiring states to implement a “reasonable and prudent parent standard” that allows foster parents to make more day-to-day decisions for youth in their care.
