An Act To Amend 24 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Board Of Chiropractic. [HB-416]
This Act prevents unreasonable deductibles, copayments or coinsurance charges for chiropractic care. Some managed care providers have arbitrarily classified chiropractors as “specialists” in order to charge copayments and deductibles that are in excess of those charged for primary care medical doctors. This Act establishes that the maximum amount of any deductible, copayment of coinsurance charge for chiropractic care shall be the lesser of either: (i) the deductible or copayment for a primary care physician or 15% of the fee due to be paid to the

This Act is intended to prohibit the practice of “post-claims underwriting” by health insurers, as defined in Title 18 of the Delaware Code. An Act To Amend Title 4 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Spirits, Wine, And Beer Tasting. [HB-432]
The law currently prohibits sampling of beer unless it is a new product line in the marketplace for less than one year. This Act would permit the tasting or sampling of beer no matter its tenure in the marketplace. The law also currently prohibits the sampling of spirits that are more than 80 proof. There are many “high end” spirits that are more than 80 proof and the tasting of these products could possibly convince consumers that these products are worth their higher cost. The sampling of the spirit would still be limited to no more than ounce.
