An Act To Amend Title 14 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Secretary Of Education's Qualifications. [SB-72]
This bill increases the teaching and administrative experience qualifications for the Secretary of Education from 5 years to 10 years. The Bill also clarifies that at least 6 years must be of teaching experience and at least 2 years must be of administrative experience.

An Act To Amend Title 29 Relating To The Merit System And The Prison Educational Unit. [SB-82]
Senate Bill 20 of the 147th General Assembly (79 Del. Laws c. 251) formally established the Prison Education program in Chapter 24 of Title 14 of the Delaware Code. Employees of the Prison Education program whose primary job location is within an institution have been eligible to receive hazardous duty pay for several years, this legislation simply updates Title 29 to reflect the authorization already existing in Chapter 24 of Title 14 and in the Budget Act.

An Act To Amend Title 16 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Certified Food Protection Manager Program. [SB-89]
In May 2014, the Department of Health and Social Services (“Department”) promulgated the State of Delaware Food Code, 4458, Title 16 of the Delaware Administrative Code. The State of Delaware Food Code requires all food establishments required to be permitted by the Department to have a certified food protection manager. This Act would require the Department to exempt charitable and fraternal organizations from this requirement. An Act To Amend Title 16 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Medical Marijuana. [SB-90]
This Act adds intractable epilepsy to the list of debilitating medical conditions for which a physician may supply a written certification for medical marijuana. It also specifically adds disorders such as dystonia which are characterized by involuntary muscle contractions that cause slow, repetitive movements or abnormal postures. Currently no form of medical marijuana is legally available for those with debilitating medical conditions if they are under 18 years old. The Regulatory Flexibility and Transparency Act of 2015 improves Delaware’s regulatory environment for individuals and small businesses in several significant ways. This concurrent resolution is designed to direct the Insurance Commissioner of Delaware and the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services to work with insurance companies and the medical community in order to issue Survivorship Care Plans to 100% of Delaware’s cancer survivors. Survivorship Care Plans are a key tool in treating cancer as a long-term, chronic disease.
