An Act To Amend The Delaware Code Relating To The Board Of Medical Practice. [SB-296]
This act reorganizes and renames the Board of Medical Practice to better reflect the Board's responsibilities and improve public understanding of the Board's role. The act also expedites resolution of emergency cases, improves the investigatory authority of the Board, clarifies the protections for persons reporting unprofessional conduct, and allows for greater input by persons who are not medical professionals. An Act To Amend Titles 16 And 24 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Reporting Of Abuse And Unprofessional Practice. [SB-297]
This act promotes the reporting of child abuse and allegations of unprofessional practice by healthcare practitioners and institutions. Section 1 clarifies that the mandatory duty to report child abuse or neglect applies to all persons, and specifically includes institutions such as hospitals, nursing homes and the Medical Society. An Act To Amend Title 24 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Imposition Of Fines By The Board Of Medical Practice. [SB-298]
This act increases the incentive for persons with a mandatory reporting obligation under the Medical Practice Act to comply with their obligation under that Act. Sections 1 and 2 of the bill give the Board of Medical Practice additional flexibility to impose appropriate fines by increasing the range of fines from a maximum of $5,000 to a maximum of $10,000 for a first violation and $50,000 for a subsequent violation. An Act To Amend The Laws Of Delaware Relating To The Re-incorporation Of The City Of Milford. [SB-312]
This Charter replaces the current City of Milford Charter in its entirety. A Charter Committee, the Mayor and City Council, with participation from the public, met in numerous meetings beginning in September 2008 to reorganize and revise their charter. Most of the existing charter has remained the same though some revisions were made and the charter was reorganized. An Act To Amend Title 21 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Truck Weights. [SB-314]
This Bill amends the exception for agricultural and intrastate construction vehicles by postponing until 2022 the requirement that such vehicles be registered in accordance with their manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating, but provides in the interim that no new vehicles may be registered in excess of their manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating and provides for a gradual elimination of older vehicles from qualification for such excess weight registration. In addition, the bill amends Subsection 4502(c)(10) to clarify the original intent.

An Act To Amend Title 11relating To Sentencing And Good Time. [SB-320]
The ability of inmates to earn good time credits was a mechanism established to assist and encourage appropriate behavior by inmates while they are incarcerated. This general concept has been modified by the General Assembly over time to prohibit good time credit for specific offenses. Unfortunately, this ad hoc application has caused significant administrative issues to arise that are difficult to address with limited staff and is inconsistent with the original intent and purpose of good time credit. An Act To Amend Title 29 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Duties Of The Delaware Economic Development Office. [SB-321]
Under this Act the Delaware Economic Development Office will maintain documentation of transfer of development rights and their holders are. Holders may report their current transfer of development rights and any future transactions to the Delaware Economic Development Office. An Act To Amend Title 11 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Delaware County And Municipal Police/firefighter Pension Plan. [SB-324]

An Act To Amend Titles 11 And 29 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The State Employees' Pension Plan, The County And Municipal Employees' Pension Plan, The County And Municipal Police/firefighter Pension Plan, The State Judiciary Pension Plan, The State Police Pension Plan, And Pensions. [SB-325]
This Act provides that persons with disabilities who are eligible for a service pension, disability pension, or survivor's pension, , can direct the Delaware Public Employees’ Retirement System to place eligible pension benefits directly into a Miller trust, without those pension funds adversely affecting an individual’s eligibility for Medicaid or other benefits. Income generated by the trust that remains in the trust is not income to the individual.

An Act To Amend Title 10 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Procedures Applicable To Trespass, Replevin, And Detinue Claims In The Justice Of The Peace Court. [SB-36]
This Act makes certain changes in Chapter 95, Title 10 of the Delaware Code relating to trespass, replevin, and detinue proceedings in the Justice of the Peace Court. Section 1 conforms the form of summons in a trespass case to be the same as the form for all Justice of the Peace Court actions. Section 2 eliminates an arcane provision making the Justice of the Peace personally liable for court costs when a trespass action is overturned on certain appeals.
