This Act creates the option of a supported decision-making agreement for adults who do not need a guardian but who need assistance in gathering information, making decisions, and communicating those decisions. The Act allows these adults, called “principals” in this Act, to select and appoint one or more trusted friends or relatives or a paid provider to act as a supporter. The supporter can provide assistance and guidance on issues affecting the principal, such as coordinating health care and services; making health and service-related decisions;

An Act To Amend Title 29 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Emergency Housing Shelters. [SB-240]
This Bill updates the definition of emergency housing shelter to correlate time frames and program terminology with those accepted by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Delaware State Housing Authority, and current best practices. This will allow emergency shelters to be in compliance with consistent and reasonable length of stay time frames across funding sources and will provide an accurate reflection of present day emergency shelter services and client needs.

An Act To Amend Title 15 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Elections. [SB-242]
This Act eliminates the financial bar to voter registration and makes technical changes to bring the chapter into conformity with 2, article V of the Constitution of this State, which no longer requires a 5 year waiting period before a person convicted of a non-disqualifying felony may register to vote. This Act also makes technical corrections to conform existing law to the guidelines of the Delaware Legislative Drafting Manual.

This bill establishes an Inclusive Statewide Stroke Care System to improve stroke care and survival in the State of Delaware.
