Safe Streets and Representative Police Forces Act of 2015 This bill amends the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to expand the allowable use of grant funds under the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) program to include grants to institutions of higher education (IHEs) to support criminal justice-related majors. It prioritizes grants to predominantly black institutions, historically black colleges and universities, IHEs where at least 40% of students are Latino, and IHEs where at least 40% of students are Native American.

Gun Violence Research Act [HB-3926]
Gun Violence Research Act This bill amends the Public Health Service Act to specifically include injuries from gun violence as a research subject for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Nothing in the CDC's research authorization may be construed to authorize support for advocacy or promotion of gun control. Veteran Small Business Tax Credit Act of 2015 [HB-3950]
Veteran Small Business Tax Credit Act of 2015 This bill allows a new business-related tax credit for the start-up expenses of a veteran-owned small business. The allowable amount of such credit is 15% of start-up expenditures that do not exceed $80,000. The credit is allowed to any individual (or the surviving spouse of such individual) who: (1) has served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces, (2) was stationed outside the United States, and (3) was not discharged or released under dishonorable conditions.

Enlisted Legal Assistance Act [HB-3976]
Enlisted Legal Assistance Act This bill requires the Secretary of the department concerned to provide personal civil legal assistance to: an active duty member of the Armed Forces in pay grades E-1 through E-5 and his or her dependents; and a survivor who was a dependent of the member at the time of the member's death, except that survivor eligibility shall be determined pursuant to regulations prescribed by the Secretary concerned.

Promote Startups Act of 2015 [HB-4068]
Promote Startups Act of 2015 This bill amends the Internal Revenue Code to increase the maximum tax deduction for business start-up expenditures from $5,000 to $15,000 and to increase the deduction for the organizational expenditures of corporations from $5,000 to $10,000. The bill also increases the ceilings for such expenditures over which the amount of the tax deduction is reduced.
