SOS Act Save our Stages Act [HB-7806]
Authorizes the Small Business Administration (SBA) to make grants to eligible live venue operators, producers, promoters, or talent representatives to address the economic effects of the COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic on certain live venues. Help Hire Our Heroes Act [HB-445]
Restores the veterans retraining assistance program, which expired in March 2014. Under the bill, the program offers assistance for eligible veterans to pursue a program of education on a full-time basis. Assistance is only available for training that is offered by a community college or technical school, leads to an associate degree or certificate, and is designed to provide training for a high-demand occupation.
