Expands various labor protections related to employees' rights to organize and collectively bargain in the workplace. Transit Worker and Pedestrian Protection Act [HB-1139]

To amend title 5 of the United States Code to modify, for purposes of veterans' preference for Federal hiring, certain requirements with respect to service and retirement, and for other purposes. [HB-2433]
Modifies the eligibility criteria for certain veterans to qualify for a preference in the federal hiring process. Specifically, an individual who is honorably discharged from active duty service is eligible for a veterans' preference, if the active duty service was performed for more than 180 total days (currently, consecutive days). Additionally, a retired member of the Armed Forces is eligible for a veterans' preference, even if the retiree (1) is not a disabled veteran and (2) retired at or above the rank of major or its equivalent.

Supermarket Tax Credit for Underserved Areas Act [HB-3123]
Expands the tax credits that are available for the establishment of supermarkets in underserved areas (i.e., any enterprise community or empowerment zone and any renewal community). ‘Six Triple Eight’ Congressional Gold Medal Act of 2019 [HB-3138]
Directs the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President pro tempore of the Senate to arrange for the award of a Congressional Gold Medal in honor of the women of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion (commonly known as the "Six Triple Eight") in recognition of their pioneering military service, devotion to duty, and contributions to increase the morale of personnel stationed in the European theater of operations during World War II. Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act [HB-1309]
Requires the Department of Labor to address workplace violence in the health care and social service sectors. Specifically, Labor must promulgate an occupational safety and health standard that requires certain employers in the health care and social service sectors, as well as employers in sectors that conduct activities similar to the activities in the health care and social service sectors, to develop and implement a comprehensive plan for protecting health care workers, social service workers, and other personnel from workplace violence. Safe Cribs Act of 2019 [HB-3170]
Makes it unlawful to manufacture, sell, or otherwise distribute crib bumpers. Crib bumpers are generally padded materials inserted around the inside of a crib and intended to prevent the crib occupant from becoming trapped in any part of the crib's openings. However, unpadded, mesh crib liners are not prohibited by this bill.
