Increasing the penalties for violating the Whistle-blower Law [HB-2006]
The purpose of this bill is to increase the penalties for violating the Whistle-blower Law. The bill additionally authorizes the termination from employment for a violation, instead of the current allowance of a suspension not to exceed six months.

The Ryan Brown Addiction Prevention and Recovery Fund Act [HB-2422]
The purpose of this bill is to create the Ryan Brown Addiction Prevention and Recovery Fund Act. The bill provides legislative findings and purpose, requiring the Director of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources to propose rules and definitions relating to the purpose of this article. The bill establishes the Ryan Brown Addiction Prevention and Recovery Fund to be administered by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources which is to be funded from federal Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grants
