To amend the parks, recreation and historic preservation law in relation to creating the Western Erie Canal Partnership as the lead entity to implement the Western Erie Canal Heritage Corridor Management Plan. Amends Chapter 352 of the laws of 1999 to direct the Western Erie Canal Heritage Corridor Planning Commission to act to substantially establish the Partnership.

An act to amend the general business law, the mental hygiene law, the public health law, the social services law and the executive law, in relation to the review of criminal history information by authorized employers; and creates the commission on criminal history information [AB-5211]
The bill creates a comprehensive, state-wide approach to review of criminal history information by authorized employers, allowing and (in many instances) mandating fingerprinting and criminal history checks for prospective employees who will be working with certain categories of sensitive persons. The bill establishes reasonable safeguards concerning the use and dissemination of criminal history information.
