This bill will ensure that pregnant students of compulsory school age are required to attend school unless medical reasons indicate the contrary. This legislation will include procedures by which school personnel may assist the pregnant student in planning for her continued education during and after her pregnancy. This bill recognizes the legal rights of minors to prenatal health care and equal educational opportunities.
