Extends the expiration of the power for jobs program and the energy cost savings benefits program; authorizes additional voluntary contribution into the state treasury under the power for jobs program. [AB-9008]
The purpose of this bill is to extend for twelve months the power for jobs (PFJ) and energy cost savings bene- fit (ECSB) programs administered by the Power Authority of the State of New York (NYPA) and the New York State Economic Development Power Authority Power Allocation Board (EDPAB); and authorize the reallocation of relinquished and withdrawn benefits to eligible customers under PFJ and ECSB programs.

Repeals Part NN of chapter 59 of the laws of 2009, relating to financing the operations of the department of public service, the public service commission, department support and energy management services provided by other state agencies, to increasing the utility assessment cap and the minimum threshold for collection thereunder, to establishing a temporary state energy and utility service conservation assessment and providing for the collection thereof, and providing for the repeal of certain provisions upon the expiration thereof. [AB-9098]
To repeal part NN of Chapter 59 of the laws of 2009 of Article VII-A.159-B (Transportation, Economic Develop- ment and Environmental Conservation) which establishes a "utility service conservation assessment" on specified utility entities of 2% of gross intrastate revenues, and a 1% of gross intrastate revenues for Long Island Power Authority.
