Relates to youth programs sponsored by fire departments; provides that participants may respond to an emergency or hazardous activity, but shall remain in a designated or marked off area that has been set up by the chief or officer in charge; provides such participant cannot respond to an emergency on a vehicle using lights and/or sirens; furthermore, such participants may not enter a burning structure. [AB-9877]
This bill will allow for an increased amount of exposure for youth programs in order to facilitate more of a learning experience for participants interested in the firefighting field.

Authorizes persons under the age of fourteen to participate in special events involving snowmobiles. [AB-10015]
This bill would amend the Parks, Recre- ation and Historic Preservation (PRHP) by allowing a person who is less than fourteen years of age to operate a snowmobile as a participant in a special event (as defined in Section 21.05 of PRHP Law) provided that: the special event is held in accordance with any relevant statutes, rules and regulations; the PRHP Commissioner authorized the event; he/she obtains written consent of his or her parent or legal guardian; and the PRHP Commissioner adopts rules and regulations relating to such participants. Provides that persons participating in a fishing class or clinic sponsored by a school or university are exempt from fishing license requirements. [AB-10095]
The purpose of this bill is to comple- ment the curriculum one participates in when learning the sport of fish- ing. It will allow students of those clinics to not only learn the fundamentals of the sport but also enable them to acquire hands on expe- rience prior to applying for a license.

An act to repeal part UU of Chapter 59 of the Laws of 2009; relating to the cost recovery assessment placed on IDAs.
