Provides that a landlord depositing security deposits in an interest bearing account shall be entitled to receive as administration expenses a sum equivalent to 20 percent of the interest earned by such security money per annum, but not to exceed one percent per annum of the money so deposited. [AB-6824]
This bill ensures that tenants receive a fair share of the interest earned by their security deposits.

Requires the preparation of an environmental impact statement for recommendations made by the New York city traffic congestion mitigation commission. [AB-6867]
To require that NYC DEP and NYS DEC prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS) pursuant to article 8 of the Environmental Conservation Law (SEQRA) for each of the recommendations made by the Traffic Mitigation Commission in their report of January 31, 2008. The environmental impact statements shall be submitted to the legislature and the governor no later than January 1, 2010.
