House Bill 2991
Introduced by Delegates Rowe, Frich, Caputo, Pyles and White
Introduced on March 14, 2017; Referred to the Committee on Roads and Transportation then Government Organization
This bill aims to require the Commissioner of Highways to set up a hotline for travelers to report road hazards, and to create a plan to inform the public about emergency road dangers.
Under this bill, the hotline will be accessible by phone, texts, and emails, and will be called the "West Virginia Road Hazard Hotline." The Commissioner will also develop a plan for multimedia outlets to warn the public about life-threatening road hazards.
