Relating to military service credit for retirement purposes [HB-2533]
The purpose of this bill is to permit a West Virginia public employee who first becomes an employee of a participating public employer on or after July 1, 2015, and who has received an honorable discharge, a general discharge under honorable conditions or a medical discharge from the Armed Forces of the United States, to purchase up to 60 months of military service credit for retirement purposes.
